Prelude

"Fuck!" exclaimed the duchess.

I remember Charles Pauzuolis, one of my English professors, saying it was crucial for a novel to have an attention-grabbing first line. He elicited chuckles from the class when he offered the line about the duchess as an example. I've always wanted to use it. So there it is, even though it has nothing to do with what my story.

My given name is Brian William Caruso. When I was in junior high I got the nickname Baby Boy from my friends because I was always the youngest person in our group. Eventually even my mother and brother gave in and called me Baby Boy.

Just so we get the preliminaries out of the way, I'm 5-foot-11and weight roughly 150 lbs with dark brown hair and eyes. I try to keep my body in shape (without being a gym rat), and I think I've done a good job of it. At 34 years of age I'm still trim with a flat, but not washboard, stomach. I've had people tell me I've got a cute ass. There's a moderate amount of hair on my chest and stomach trailing down to a thick pubic patch from which sprouts what I think is a nice looking cock and balls.

The realization that I was gay hit me during a sex education class in junior high. I can't say it really bothered me, but I knew it was something I'd better keep to myself. I knew of a couple of guys in the same grade as me who'd been caught jerking each other off in the bathroom. They couldn't take the sneers, snickers, and downright abuse that was heaped on them the rest of the school year. One of them transferred to another school over Easter vacation. The other stuck it out, but he didn't come back after summer vacation. I decided to keep my fascination with the cocks and asses of my classmates a secret.

My father was the world renowned Architect Gregory Caruso. By the time he was 25, he built his first multimillion dollar skyscraper; and since then he has build thousands of buildings throughout the world. My father’s company Caruso Industries has offices in every major city in the United States. Since he was always busy, he was hardly around. For my sixteen birthday my father got me a job at his Chicago offices and when I went away to school I still worked for him working on some advertising campaigns for one of his near ventures. He said it was to keep me on my toes since I was going to school to get into advertising.

My mother on the other hand was a stay at home mom so she always there for me and my brother. She went to all our school activities. But the one thing you need to know about my mother is even though she was a stay at home mom, that woman worked her ass off making my father looking like a saint.

I graduated second in my class with a full ride academic scholarship to Georgia Tech. I loved everything about Georgia Tech from the challenge of the classes to the diversity of people who attended. I especially loved the freedom of being away from home, and I finally lost my virginity to my first boyfriend Austin my freshman year.

I did have one really bad experience at Georgia Tech. At the end of my sophomore year Austin and I broke up and he moved back to Germany over the summer. I was devastated at first and I spent most of my summer feeling sorry for me. But at the beginning of my junior year I fell in love with a guy on the wrestling team.

We went at it hot and heavy for the first couple of months. He had a body that just oozed sex, and he was ready for it all the time. I thought I'd found my dream man, but he started getting rougher and rougher during sex. He got into heavy drugs. He always wanted to know where I was all the time, and he became insanely jealous of my other friends. Finally he hit me. Oh, he apologized right away, but his right fist to the side of my face opened my eyes. But I stayed with him until my friends helped me realize I was in an abusive relationship, and I got out.

The problem was I really had loved the jerk. I decided that the only way to protect myself from being hurt again was to never allow myself to fall for another guy. After that experience, I was rarely with the same guy twice. Quick pickups and one night stands from the bars became my mode of operation. I wasn't lacking for sex. In fact, I got plenty of sex. What I didn't get was love.

After graduation I intended to go home to Chicago for a few weeks or so before going back down to Georgia and finding a place to live in Savannah. I had some money saved, and I wanted to explore all the finer things Savannah had to offer.

I had a great circle of friends back home in Chicago who just liked to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. At the center of this group was an alpha male named Keith. He is hard to explain; part daredevil, part perfectionist, part philosopher. He barely stood 5-foot-10. But what gave him that edge was his brain. Keith was easily the smartest guy I knew, and his insight into other people was amazing. To be his friend was truly an honor. What Keith spoke was law. I had met Keith through his lover Zybs.

Zybs, what can one say about him? Well first off Zybs isn’t his real name. It is Wade Zyberg, but he goes by Zybs. Zybs was all-state quarterback for his high school both his junior and senior year. He went off to Oklahoma University with dreams of making it to the NFL someday. But in the middle of his second year Zybs suffered from a career ending knee injury. Ever since that day Zybs has hit the bottle more than anything else. But he was there for me when I needed him. Even if in his own special way.

My story really starts back when I was 23. I just graduated from Georgia Tech and decided to return back home from Georgia for the summer.
